Muscular Dystrophy Association Lock-Up Event

Hand Painted Donated box for Muscular Dystrophy Association

While I have been varnishing and sanding my mural tile and waiting for it to cure before starting the process of gluing it to the plywood and grouting, I have been working on several things to meet some deadlines.

One of them has been working on a custom keepsake box for The Muscular Dystrophy Association that I'm honored to design, paint and donate to a great organization.  They are hosting an event called the McDonough Executive Lock-Up. This event helps raise much-needed funds that benefit the 2,200 people in the North Georgia area who are registered with them.  All monies stay local.  They have clinics that meet twice a month at Scottish Rite (their pediatric clinic) and Emory (their adult clinic). They have clinics at Emory for ALS, Neurology and Rehab. They also have a week-long summer camp at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA that is at no cost to the families and the ages to come to camp are 6 to 17.  This camp facility is completely wheelchair accessible.  The Executive Lock-Up Event will be April 27th from 11am-2pm at the Cotton Fields Golf Club located at 400 Industrial Boulevard, McDonough, GA 30253.  If you are not able to attend but would like to make a donation to this wonderful organization you can go to the link provided here https://www.joinmda.org/mcdonoughlu2011/3461office.

A total of 102 Swarovski Crystals were hand glued throughout the entire box
