GRATITUDES FOR FRIDAY

Today is gratitude Friday and I have so much to be grateful for this week.   My brother was born with a disability, but he developed a brain tumor as a child and not all of it could be removed, so shunts were put in place to help move the additional brain fluid.

So when my brother tells us he has a headache we listen. Over the weekend he started with a small nagging headache that quickly turned into a burn in his neck which indicates the brain fluid is not moving like it should. His doctor was notified and he was monitored.  I requested prayers and positive thoughts from as many as I could reach.

God tells us to pray without ceasing  (1 Thessalonians 5:17)17 Pray without ceasing (KJV).  The next day my brother started to show a major difference his eyes cleared up they didn't look cloudy anymore, he was able to sit up without feeling the horrible pressure from the weight of his head.  I don't believe for a second it was coincidental, I believe he started showing major improvement because people out there truly were lifting him up in prayer.

I'm grateful for the power of prayer,  God tells us to go to him in prayer and he will listen and he did to all those who prayed on behalf of my brother. Jeremiah 29:12 (NKJV).12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

I hope you all have had a wonderful week and that your gratitude journal is so full you will need to get yourself a new one this weekend.    :)

  1. This was nothing but GOD! What an awesome post. I too have a gratitude journal and it has changed my way of looking at life. Though I've only been using it for a few months I have noticed a huge attitude shift. Love your site and will sub!!

  2. Amen Bre yes it was all God, he is all powerful our healer and counsel if you would have seen my brother and the dramatic shift he took that was evidence of prayers working. I'm so happy you journal, when I started journaling it was difficult at first but I learned to pray before I started, I look at it as praying to GOD thanking him for all the blessings in my week. You will be amazed after your first year of journaling as you look back and read through it the awesome blessing we truly have been given.
